KINGDOM SEEDS CHRISTMAS OFFERING

Each year, we challenge ourselves to give above and beyond our normal tithes to extend generosity to our community and our city. We are coming together, current MD LSQ attendees and MD LSQ alumni to sow into our community and some of our city’s greatest needs.

We invite you to pray how you can contribute toward our offering.

The first component is sowing generously into the critical work of our ministry partners extending mercy and seeking justice across our city. (Read below to learn more about the initiatives supported)

Our next component after giving to our partners, the rest of what is raised (70%)  will enable all our work as a church community for next year.

In addition to one time year end gifts, we are aiming to increase scheduled monthly giving by $4,500 by May 31st, 2023 in order to provide sustainability for our mission moving forward.

Kingdom Seeds

KINGDOM SEEDS offering seeks to increase the investment in faith-led and Black-led ministry partner organizations.

The first priority of our Christmas Offering is sowing generously into the critical work of our ministry partners extending mercy and seeking justice across our city and around the world.

Research has shown that funding to Black communities is disproportionately low. We believe there is an incredible opportunity to lean in and collectively become the agents of transformation.

These organizations are doing critical work supporting and advocating for vulnerable communities, seeking to address injustice and inequities in our city, feeding the hungry, equipping young small business owners, giving young people access to quality education, and taking a multifaceted approach to reducing gun violence, one proven to work in other cities.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. — Micah 6:8

Thank you.

It can be easy to take the faithful presence and witness of the church for granted.

When a person walks through our doors on Sunday, when they venture to ask for help, when they begin to pray, when they entrust their kids to a volunteer, when they hope there will be another student their age around, when someone tries a small group, or their marriage needs help…these are all the places and many more where the church is meant to be.

Congregational giving is down about 25% compared to 2020. Two years of this decrease is beginning to be felt.

Thanks for your Generosity and prayers for how to commit on pledge Sunday, December 11th. If you are ready, you can give now below by selecting "Lincoln Square" in the drop down menu.
